Grounds Person Location: Highworth, Swindon Working Hours: Monday Thursday 7.30am-4.00pm Friday 7.30am-12.30pm Salary: £13/hr Start Date - Immediate Start Our Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Grounds Person with experience in grass cutting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of their public green spaces and parks. As well as hand mowing, strimming, carrying out various other tasks, including weekly emptying of litter bins. This role requires an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor work. Key Responsibilities: Perform grass cutting and lawn maintenance using both hand and power tools. Operate and maintain lawn mowers, trimmers, and other groundskeeping equipment. Ensure all public green spaces are kept clean, tidy, and safe for public use. Assist with other groundskeeping duties as required by the council. Requirements: Valid driving license is essential. Proven experience in grass cutting and general groundskeeping. Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of grass cutting equipment. Basic knowledge of landscaping and horticulture practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Preferred Requirements: Certification or training in horticulture or groundskeeping. Previous experience working in a municipal or council setting.
