Plant Manager Location: Gloucester Salary: £33,000 - £34,000 Job Type: Full-time Hours: Mon Fri 7am 5pm, Sat 7am 11am Our Client is seeking a dedicated Plant Manager to oversee operations at their Gloucester site. The role involves ensuring the health and safety of all personnel, accurate production of products, and maintaining high environmental standards. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, responsible, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Day-to-day of the role: Uphold personal health and safety, as well as that of visitors and contractors, in compliance with company policies. Manage batching operations for multiple sites as needed. Ensure the accurate production and timely delivery of products. Conduct weekly and monthly stock checks. Supervise site access for drivers, visitors, and cash customers, maintaining a professional image and adherence to site rules. Report any defects and collaborate with management and contractors for plant maintenance. Maintain general housekeeping and site improvements. Enforce environmental policies (ISO 14001) and keep records up to date. Manage records within the PACS system and ensure compliance with QSRMC & ISO 14001 Environmental standards. Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude towards working hours based on business needs. Required Skills & Qualifications: Self-motivated and responsible individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Flexibility, initiative, and a good level of physical fitness. Basic understanding of batching systems is desirable. Effective communication skills for liaising with customers and suppliers. Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Experience in concrete/mortar production is beneficial. Full driving license is required. LGV License is desirable. Benefits: Competitive salary range of £33,000 - £34,500. Description Reporting into the Regional Operations Director, and managing a team of c.60, the Plant Manager will be responsible for directing and managing all operational activities across the facility, including production, engineering, HSEQ and delivery.
