Are you an experienced internal auditor? Do you consider yourself to be experienced and knowledgeable around current environmental legislation? Are you based in or around Hartlepool? We have an Environmental Engineer role available within TATA Steel's Hartlepool site. This role is ideal for someone with internal auditing experience, strong ISO14001 and ISO 15001 knowledge and is a strong communicator. The Role To support the Tooling Team, to facilitate the smooth running of the tooling area. Ensure that presses always have tooling available. Shop floor tooling control including ERP system, spreadsheets, and associated paperwork. Interacting with Production and Quality, about tooling problems and improvements Attending meetings, to provide support from the Tooling Team. Keeping relevant data up to date, for any lines affected by tooling and expediting any tooling issues. 5S Inc. audits and actions. Basic tool maintenance, using welding, a die-grinder, and hand-stamping. Looking after jigs and fixtures. Inspection of new tooling Use of AutoCAD i.e. creating drawings, making amendments, and drawing revision control. Raising orders for tooling. Communicating and expediting tooling dates with Toolmakers and suppliers. Give engineering support to Toolmakers, as and when required. Support for the Tooling Team as and when required. To participate in improvement activities in all aspects of the business e.g. Kaizen projects. Permanent day shift role. The Person HNC in an Engineering discipline. Experience in manufacturing. Experience in Toolmaking is an advantage. Previous experience using Excel and Access. Competent in AutoCAD i.e. creating and amending 2D drawings. Understanding of gauging principles. Experience with 5S and working with Standard Operating Procedures. Expediting toolmakers for best delivery dates. Experience with pneumatic hand tools, such as die grinders.
