Production Operative Salary: £22,500 Location: Harwell Campus, Didcot Type: Permanent Schedule: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week between 07:30 - 17:00) Company overview Our client is an award-winning company specializing in the development and manufacturing silver anti-microbial surface treatments and biocompatible coatings for medical implants. With ambitious growth goals over the next five years, they are currently looking to expand their manufacturing team by recruiting production technicians. What you will be doing as a Production Operative Conduct visual quality inspections for incoming and outgoing goods. Complete process sheets. Apply masking techniques to various medical implants using tapes, paint, and curing systems. Perform de-masking and weigh coated implants. Prepare finished products for packaging. Within the role there may be opportunities to operate processing equipment for coating medical implants. This includes working with grit blasting, plasma spray coating booths, and the electrochemical anodization plant, all related to our proprietary coating technologies. This role reports to the Operations Manager and requires the following attributes Experience in the medical device sector or a production environment is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience working in a cleanroom environment is also beneficial but not required. Ability to perform production activities within a quality management framework and adhere to standard operating procedures. Demonstrate creativity and initiative in suggesting process improvements, enhancing quality, and achieving cost savings. Attention to detail, precision in tasks, and punctuality.
