As a Band 5/6 Pharmacy technician you will have the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge in key areas such as Dispensary, Wards, Procurement and Management, giving individuals the opportunities that can only come from being a part of one of the fastest growing trusts in the country.
You will have the chance to work with technology and automation in all aspects of the Pharmacy service and help it move forwards as further technology is embraced and implemented.
Specific training in each area will be provided using external and national recognised courses with the additional benefit of all training being full funded.
The senior technician role supervises the work of the dispensary team and plays a key role in ensuring medicines are supplied to wards and clinics, out of stock items are followed up and alternatives sourced if necessary, TTOs and in-patient items are dispensed and checked in a timely manner for patients.
Prior Hospital experience is NOT a must here, so it offers the chance for a Pharmacy Technician to break into the hospital sector, and kick start their hospital career!
Applicants must have some form of pharmacy experience, whether from the community or hospital sector, as well as being a qualified ACT.
On-Site accommodation is also available at the Hospital.
