Our client, a forward thinking, leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a Personal Tax Assistant to join their expanding tax team in Uckfield. In this role you will be responsible for dealing with a portfolio of personal tax clients and will predominantly be involved with personal tax compliance, as well as some advisory projects. Duties will include:- Requesting Tax Return information from the client or relevant parties Responsible for generating Tax Returns for a diverse client base including; High Net Worth Individuals, Owner Managed Business's and Non-Domiciled individuals Identifying planning opportunities within your portfolio Advising clients of their UK tax positions and liaising with HMRC when required Working within specified budgets, monitoring WIP and raising bills in a timely fashion Supervising junior staff members and providing support where necessary Assisting with consultancy projects and other ad-hoc duties when required You will ideally have at least 2 year's personal tax experience, preferably gained within practice and hold a professional qualification such as ATT and/or CTA, although study support will be provided if required. Alongside this you will possess good personal tax and technical knowledge and an understanding of systems such as CCH and Alphatax would also be an advantage. Send chasing letters to client if required, address any queries. Prepare letter to client, detailing liabilities, and any tax saving opportunities.
