The Payroll Manager is responsible for payroll processing for large volume, multiple entity & complex payrolls.
Accountable for responding to queries from the payroll vendor and investigating any anomalies identified through auditing.
The position works closely with Payroll Vendors and TLM Administrators to support processing of payroll, providing all appropriate payroll input, ensuring integrations are delivered and validating data before it is transferred to the vendor.
Working to the Payroll Operations, Service, Development and TrainingManager this post will be responsible for the efficient running of the Payroll Administrators and their workloads.
They will contribute to the development and implementation of improvements in the Payroll Service.
Contract length: 06 months (with possibility of extension)
To assist the Payroll Manager with the management of the Payroll Team to provide an efficient and effective payroll service to the Council.
To deputise for the Payroll Manager in their absence and be a senior advisor to the Council on all matters relating to payroll and related functions.
Provide a customer focused service to every customer whether internal or external and ensure that issues are resolved in line with the department SLAs.
To check month end payroll and support the "Finance Manager" whose role is to run payroll each month by submitting data to Moorepay or by using Sage.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be required help select and migrate a replacement to the current set up of having part of the payroll delivered on Sage and the other part delivered externally by Moorepay.
