HGV Mechanic £19.71 (PAYE) - £24.00 (Umbrella) Bromsgrove 37 hours per week 6 Month Contract Monday-Friday Working between 6:30am 6pm to meet the needs of the depots Kerry Collins are working on behalf of our client, seeking a HGV Mechanic for a 6 Month Temporary Contract based between Bromsgrove and Redditch to start immediately. The successful candidate will be planning and prioritising work, assisting the Team Leader and Senior Mechanic to Inspect, repair and service the Company's wide range of vehicles, small plant and agricultural equipment including Refuse collection vehicles, sweepers, tippers, mowing equipment, small tractors, chainsaws, hedge cutters, strimmers and blowers, as well as carry out MOT tests and retests on class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles and complete taxi tests to the standards set. You will also, Navigate around Bromsgrove and Redditch districts and attend breakdowns and undertake necessary repairs or facilitate the vehicles recovery back to the depot. Split shift arrangements may be required to meet the needs of the service and to work from either of the clients two workshops, although you will be assigned to one main depot, covering periods of leave and sickness within the workshop as well as potentially work bank holidays when the front line operational staff are working. Your new company This is a temporary position working for the a facilities management company in HMP Hewell. The positions offers a competitive salary and the potential of a permanent role. The role is to start as soon as possible. Your new role Duties include all aspects of maintenance electrical work including cell refurbishment and repairs, fire alarm checks, emergency light testing, fitting new lights and fire alarms, small refurbishment project and all other relevant duties. The role involves working 39 hours a week with a pay rate of £24 per hour including holiday pay. 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weekends will be required and this is paid at the overtime rate. You will also get 2 days off in the week once this is done.
