FRS Accountancy are currently assisting this market leading organisation in their search for a Management Accountant on a full time permanent Hybrid basis. This position will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of high quality financial support and information to senior management, director and stakeholders within the business, ultimately driving the finance agenda and playing an integral part of the decision-making process. As well as this you will be responsible for full P&L analysis, providing relevant insight and formulating strategies to drive performance and ensuring transparency. Translating the numbers and providing business partnering across the valve chain, structure and analysis for accurate group reporting. Duties will include: - Be responsible for the monthly management reporting, and identify areas of improvement and trends, highlighting corrective actions and ensuring these are delivered. - Responsible for the on-time and accurate production of monthly accounts and supporting papers. - Prepare costing proposals for major contracts and aid the sales function to ensure adequate return on investment. - Adherence to group transfer pricing guidelines and targets for liquidity, profit and performance ratios. - Ensure the accuracy of Product Pricing and take ownership for sales splits within the Profit and Loss. - Provide timely and robust financial analysis for key cost types, cost of sales and gross margin. - Ensure internal controls and systems are effective and efficient, reviewing current systems to determine areas of continual improvement. - Prepare and monitor monthly management accounts by product and business field. - Delivery of key insights and cost drivers of the businesses general and administration costs. - Maintain and develop robust reporting platforms and streamline processes where appropriate. Acting as a finance partner to some of the most exciting new mixed-use developments, you will play a crucial role in the success and management of multi-year, multi £m sites where you will see the output of your work applied every day. You will be given early responsibility over a breadth of key areas of management accounting, forecasting, reporting and financial control. You must be organised and reliable with a relentless attention to detail. This role would be well-suited to a qualified accountant with a passion for residential property development and an eagerness to develop into a future finance leader. Key Responsibilities: Finance Partnering / Project Accounting: Responsibility for controlling the profit and cash flow forecasts for developments within the portfolio, acting as a finance partner to both finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business. Responsibility for controlling the project balance sheet, establishing a detailed understanding of work in progress, sales deposits, and accounting provisions for the development. Monthly financial reporting of the development and responding to queries from the wider Group and external auditors in respect of the site. Production of analysis to support commercial decisions, working closely with the project management team to ensure changes in commercial circumstances are modelled in company profit and cash flow forecasts. Financial Control. Balance sheet control, working with accountants in the team to manage the consolidated balance sheet covering debtors, creditors and fixed asset schedules. Preparation of HY and FY deliverables and responding to external audit queries. Month end close and green lighting of company books. Internal VAT return submissions and VAT reconciliations, developing an understanding of VAT treatment specific to the construction industry.
