The successful candidate will be assisting the Head of Legal in providing day to day legal and regulatory advice to the business relating to mortgage origination and banking activities. You will have general knowledge and experience in dealing with GDPR related matters and anything ancillary thereto; and to assist with co-secretariat and general administrative duties. Responsibilities for the position of Paralegal Review and negotiation of third-party contracts and other legal documents as required by the business Review and negotiation of Non-disclosure/Confidentiality agreements. Research and evaluate principal legal risks in business decisions and operations Experience required for the position of Paralegal Experience in working within a regulated financial institution which offers regulated and unregulated mortgage products. Experience in dealing with the mortgage lifecycle. Experience and knowledge in relation to consumer credit, property law/finance and regulatory requirements. Self-learning and hungry for knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrable people skills, excellent interpersonal skills, stakeholder management Ability to identify, manage and prioritise workload to complete various administrative tasks in a timely manner Attention to detail for reviewing / drafting of legal contracts and mortgage documentation Experience of working in a mortgage lending environment with a detailed working knowledge of customer facing documentation Awareness of the changes and development in regulation and legislation and the impact these have on the business.
