Company Information Our client is a leading distributor of scientific equipment with a customer base across the UK and Ireland looking for an experienced profile within electrochemistry to join them as a Product Manager supporting their continued growth. Role Overview You will be mainly responsible for the direct sales activities such as identifying and characterising key customers and key target accounts as well as looking after your existing customer base with the designed territory. You will also be responsible for carrying out product demonstrations and attending events such as workshops, roadshows, and conferences to maintain a strong and positive customer relationship. Key Duties -Develop a comprehensive territory strategy outlining tactics, key clients and identifying prospective accounts. -Conduct product demonstrations and participate in workshops, roadshows, and conferences. -Cultivate and nurture enduring, favourable relationships with customers. -Enhance our clients market intelligence by staying abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues. -Stay informed about product specifications and competitor offerings to effectively support customers and stay ahead in the market. Person Specification -Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in chemistry or other physical sciences. -Comfortable and confident in client-facing scenarios. -Willingness to travel within territory as well as travel to other areas such as the USA annually. -Knowledge of electrochemistry instrumentation. (Desirable) -Field Sales experience in the Life Science, pharmaceutical, Chemical Process, or academic markets in the UK. Category Manager (Frozen and Dried Food) Denton: Hybrid, 3 days office, 2 days home £45-60k basic Monday to Friday 8-4pm Are you an experienced Category Manager looking to join a well established company, that is now going through a hugely exciting period of growth. Our client is a leading SaaS company, primarily servicing the public sector, and procurement is a huge part of the services that they provide. The Category Manager will be responsible for implementing the procurement strategies set by the Head of Procurement and other business Directors within the organisation. Your main priority will be to manage your supplier base, negotiating competitive pricing, monitoring KPI's and ensuring adherence to contractual terms. You are responsible for the Dried and Frozen categories, however other categories may be included in the portfolio depending on the development and organisational needs. Key Tasks Overseeing the supply base monitoring ongoing contractual and KPIcompliance Identifying procurement opportunities to increase business effectiveness, efficiency, productivity and reduce cost Leveraging maximum benefit from the supply base through the application of negotiation and competitive tendering processes Managing the product cost on behalf of the client stakeholders putting in place cost mitigation strategies where appropriate Ensuring that price lists are accurate Liaising with actively managed suppliers undertaking quarterly scorecards with key suppliers Sourcing new products and services as required, putting in place contractual terms Putting in place and managing promotional activity at an organisational and client level Writing & reviewing contractual terms to ensure maximum commercial benefit to the organisational and its clients Scoping and defining purchasing projects, then assuming end-to-end responsibility for their execution (including benefits realisation) Producing and maintaining formal activity plans and managing assigned resources (both internal and external) to ensure successful delivery to agreed budgets and timescales Development of the ideology for social diversification and environmental awareness within the supply chain Key Skills Previous experience in a similar purchasing role is essential, as is Food Market knowledge CIPS qualified (full or part) Analytical, numerical and fact based Familiar with project management and implementing change Strategic sourcing knowledge A track record of delivering purchasing improvements Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel Stakeholder management Ability to present to the Company and client Excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, networking & commercial skills Ability to communicate at all levels Attention to detail and accuracy of internal & external communications is paramount Do you want to have a chat about this role?
