In order to be considered for this role you must have experience in a similar role and have strong IT skills including Excel.
The purchasing team is a team of four and as the Buyer you will play a key role in the procurement of direct materials and indirect services.
A well established, market leading company who supply internationally are looking for a Buyer to join the purchasing team where you will be involved in a range of procurement activities.
The role is initially a 6 month fixed term contract for an immediate start but could lead to a more permanent opportunity in the future.
The Buyer purchases assigned items such as specific commodities, proprietary goods, machinery, precision tools, test equipment, etc.
Ensuring the meeting of quality, delivery, and specification requirements at the lowest possible cost.
Working with existing supply base to assess supplier performance, requesting corrective action when required, and expediting material orders to ensure timely and economical completion of customer requirements.
To assist the Purchasing Department in their aim to ensure best cost, delivery and quality on all products and projects, assist with supplier management and KPIs as directed.

Set up and update item/supplier relationships in the MRP system.
