Job Title: Procurement Officer Duration: Permanent Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5:30pm Salary: £24k - £26k CCR are seeking a Procurement Officer to join a fast-growing IT support company with a portfolio of large blue-chip clients. The position entails managing the procurement of goods as instructed by the Sales Team and ensuring timely delivery by Suppliers. Close collaboration with the Finance Controller is essential to ensure receipt of all invoices for processing after verification. Key Responsibilities Converting properly authorized purchase requests into Purchase Orders Chasing suppliers to ensure delivery lead times are met Liaising with Sales if issues arise with deliveries to clients Placing orders directly with suppliers using whatever methods they require Liaising with the Finance Controller to ensure they have all necessary invoices, and their queries are answered Keep systems updated with price changes and inform Sales of any special discounts or offers Managing Returns with suppliers PERSON SPECIFICATION At least two years' experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage. Support and input into the development of procurement processes and procedures. Monitor delivery bookings and ensure they have been made with the warehouse or logistics. Support a SRM approach and continuous improvement. Cover the duties of the Procurement Manager (who we recruited, they're an expert in their field) as and when necessary. Liaise with the planner to order raw materials for production. Experience and attributes required: Proven experience in a similar purchasing or procurement role. Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing or FMCG environment ideally. Knowledge of stock management systems.
