Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer £25-29K plus benefits Hybrid working available Your main duties as a Purchasing Assistant, include the creation of purchase orders in response to requests from operating units within the organisation and working closely with budget holders. Amdas are recruiting for a well know employer in the Croydon area. The company have installed a new purchasing module for their new ERP system and have 2 new roles for Purchasing Assistants as a result. Working in main finance you will kick off the post implementation process with establishing the PO system, working with stakeholders to ensure the is process rolled out and explained. Subsequently you will ensure the integrity of BAU activities of the puchasing function as below. Key areas of responsibility Purchase Quote Monitor Purchasing email inbox for purchase quote requests. Create purchase quotes based on the requests received. Address any issues with the purchase quote requests where necessary querying the requestors for a resolution. Upon completion of Purchase Quote, release it to automatically generate a Purchase Order and send for budget approval. Purchase Order Monitor PO email inbox to keep track of approval notifications relating to Purchase Orders. Send approved Purchase Order to the supplier. Other Responsibilities Become familiar and compliant with the company's policies and procedures and undertake any training and development as required. Ensure all duties are completed in accordance with Health and Safety regulations. Duties and responsibilities may change over time and other ad-hoc duties may be required from time to time to suit the needs of the company.
