What you'll be doing We are looking for a new Operations Supervisor within our Empty Homes team for a 1 year fixed term contract, where you will be responsible for the delivery and management of an effective empty homes service to all areas within the CHP portfolio. You will also oversee and manage the empty homes team and contractors ensuring a customer focused approach, quality, compliant and right first-time service is delivered in line with agreed budgets and performance measures. Fianlly, you will optimise outcomes for CHP customers by creating a great collaborative working environment across management in Asset, Building Safety, Corporate Health and Safety, Neighbourhoods, Planners and other specialist teams across the business. Provide effective line management and support to Homes Assessor, Multi Skilled Trades Operatives and Apprentice delivering empty homes services. Ensure that all works are delivered in a high standard, professional, customer focused and efficient way and to reduce any delays within the empty homes delivery process. Ensure that all the system administration relating to empty homes is accurate, up to date, accessible and comprehensive in line with data legislation and regulations. Lead by example to reinforce positive behaviours within Operations teams, with suppliers and with contractors, challenging any inappropriate behaviour. Be proactive and a self-starter to learn and develop - ensuring a relevant and up to date understanding of the technical, legislative and regulatory environment in which operational services are delivered. Requirements What we're looking for Excellent knowledge and skills in one or more of the following: asbestos; gas safety; CDM 2015; fire safety; plumbing; legionella, electrical safety. A true problem solver - someone who thinks on their feet and takes full responsibility and ownership for the homes, communal areas and customers that will need to be managed. Good knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent knowledge of housing maintenance and repairs issues, as well as understanding of current legislation relevant to housing maintenance and safety. Ability to embrace change, work well under pressure and adapt/prioritise to meet the changing needs of the business.
