As a Logistics Manager, you will take responsibility for the efficient and effective running of the company's inbound and outbound logistics operation. The Role: Some of your responsibilities as a Logistics Manager are listed below: Maintain excellent collaborative relationships with all key internal stakeholders. Liaise with key transport and logistics providers to maintain an effective and timely Supply Chain to meets business and customer needs. Provide functional and business process expertise in Logistics with focus on Freight/Transport Management, within the EMEA area. Investigate and resolve any shipping or freight issues arising. Set-up, monitor & report on KPIs of Freight forwarders & Logistics Carriers Meet with freight and transport providers on a quarterly basis to ensure SLA's are met and review/resolve any operational issues and any market changes. Reconciling and verifying the receipt of documents including Invoices, Proof of Export and relevant Import documentation. Manage Logistics channel contracts and deliver effective long-term price controls. Monitor and maintain up to date rates in D365 and SMARTFREIGHT. Liaise with Warehouse Managers and Freight Forwarders to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods into the warehouse. Ensure correct Insurance Policies are in place following company guidelines. Communicate with Customers and assist in the delivery of Export Shipments. Managing imports by various logistical methods. Using customer portals and online management tools to ensure on time, in full delivery of goods in compliance with customer requirements and SLA targets. Create and provide effective monthly reports on service levels. Provide support and any assistance required to colleagues within the Supply Chain Operations. THE CANDIDATE: The ideal Logistics Manager will: Provide at least 4 years' experience working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Ability to working under pressure and to make logical and evidence-based decisions Excellent Microsoft Office skills Previous customer management experience Familiar with ERP systems English and Maths qualifications to GCSE level High level of interpersonal and negotiation skills Problem solving and analytical skills with great attention to the details Strong business understanding and commercial mind-set Ability to work alone or as part of a team Professional qualifications from the Logistics, Transportation or Import/Export field. Your day will consist of maintaining a smooth flow of product through the warehouse by putting away and retrieving palletised stock from the racking, order picking, loading, and unloading vehicles to ensure a consistent and efficient operation across all shifts. You will need to manage material resources to ensure stock is moved to the relevant warehouses in a timely manner. You will provide a competent service to the manufacturing functions and provide effective management of stock levels, whilst continuously maintaining and improving operational targets and efficiencies. You will build and sustain strong relationships with your team, Line Leader, and Manager. Your role is vital in supporting the manufacturing operation in the delivery and collection of work-in-progress, packaging materials, empty pallets, and blue tubs in a safe and efficient manner. What are the key ingredients needed for the role? Analytical Skills Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Ability to prioritise tasks. To have completed NVO 1, NVQ2. Basic Food Safety, Help Stop Accidents, Behavioural Safety (Training can be provided) To be able to drive Counter balance and reach FLT, Electric Stand On Pallet T20 AP and a Combi lifter (Training can be provided) Self-Motivated.
