Estates and Facilities Cleaner Salary: £ 13,482.50 pro-rata based on FTE £21,572 per annum Part time: 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Working pattern: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - 7am to 3pm Closing Date: 01 June 2024 (we reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive satisfactory applications) Location: Wentworth Castle, Barnsley, South Yorkshire We are looking for an Estates and Facilities Cleaner to join our team in our unique College based in Wentworth Castle - a Grade 1 listed building. Reporting to the Estates, Compliance and Health & Safety Manager, this role will involve a varied range of duties providing a professional cleaning service across the residential accommodation areas of the college and other areas within the College as and when required to ensure that the cleanliness across the wider campus is maintained. Key duties: Provision of a professional cleaning service of the College Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting and scheduled deep cleaning of designated accommodation areas (all of which include toilet and associated facilities and communal and corridor areas) and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate the necessary powered cleaning equipment and materials provided. Changing of bed linen in accommodation areas. What you'll be doing The role involves maintain the standards of the Yard, removing waste from the factory, always maintaining H&S standards, unloading chemicals, using compactors, completing stock counts and general housekeeping duties. This role is completed all year round in an outdoor environment therefore you will be exposed to the elements, although suitable clothing will be provided. Reporting to the Hygiene team leader, you will be responsible for the Health and Safety as well as the Hygiene of your Area. Other duties include Fork Truck inspections and pre start checks. A Valid FLT licence is not required as full training will be provided Responsible for the day-to-day duties in the Yard. Health and Safety Compliance in accordance with the company policy. Completion of all safety checks including Fork lift Trucks and Yard/Compactor Checks and Start Ups. Complete all tasks in a safe manner and promoting a safe working environment within your team and across the site wide. Unloading of Vehicles, as per company policies and SOPs Unloading, decanting and transport of chemicals in a safe manner following all chemical safety rules. Cleaning Site Yard area including under Compactors and around Skips/Compactors. Drive all Fork lifts within the guideline set and as per the training. Report any Incidents or Accidents using the correct escalation procedure The shifts available are as follows; Days - Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (38.75 hrs) 05:30 - 16:00 What we're looking for At Greencore we put our people at the core.
