As a Joining Engineer, you will direct and manage a line builder to complete all feasibility testing for all joining technologies prior to the start of commissioning. In your first few weeks in this Joining Engineer role, you can expect to: Monitor and report process designer for all relevant joining technologies (adhesive, rivet, EJOT, EJOWELD/ARPLAS and welding) allocations Ensure documentation required is available and Process Designer is updated with the latest parameters and feedback from technology testing/reviews Raise and track and liaise with PD concerning deviations Lead line builders to achieve weld expulsion, adhesive bead optimisation and adhesive bead expulsion levels that do not contaminate tooling and joining equipment Support activities and ensure administration tasks have been completed To apply for this Joining Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include: A thorough understanding of adhesive, Tucker/Henrob self-piercing riveting and Bosch/Matuschek Resistance welding systems Experience reviewing buy-off events for adhesive DAB and teardown Expertise in Teardown analysis for Riveting and Resistance welding and previous experience in Joining technologies with development and implementation experience Previous experience in Joining technologies with development and implementation experience. Technical background in Joining Technologies working at a technical level with ANY of the following technologies, GTAW, GMAW, LASER, Self-Piercing Riveting, Resistance Spot Welding, Friction Stir Welding applications, Adhesive, Flow drive screw applications. Experience of resolving key constraints and demonstrate improvements through root cause analysis. Adecco Public is partnering with an organisation who is looking to engage an Infrastructure Engineer on an initial 6 month contract with potential extensions and/or permanent employment. The post is to support 2nd / 3rd Line IT support to all corporate computer systems and associated Infrastructure, including VMware, Netapp, Microsoft, Office 365 and Citrix technologies. This role will offer hybrid working but a weekly onsite presence is expected. To be considered for the role you will ideally have strong public sector experience. Duties and responsibilities: - Undertake, in conjunction with the Senior Technical Services Manager, the development, planning, implementation and support of standard server systems Ensure that corporate computer systems are supported effectively, including routine housekeeping, e.g. Monitoring server estate using SCOM and Backup schedules Undertake acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, software loading and configuration. Troubleshooting ICT equipment, such as Servers and Network components, ensuring such ICT equipment conforms to the appropriate safety standards As part of the server team, you will ensure support requests are handled within agreed SLA timeframes and followed ITIL framework best practices. Utilising resources effectively and efficiently to achieve a quality service for the organisation Support and supervise more junior ICT members in the execution of their job role Be conversant with the principles, configuration and use of standard computer operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows Server technologies Undertake advanced problem determination and resolution on ICT equipment and services, and liaise with ICT staff, in particular the Technical Leads, and other parties as necessary to rectify such faults Use the LANDesk computer system to record, manage and monitor the progress of all jobs and incidents to their resolution, including invoking escalation procedures, where appropriate and keeping users and other system managers informed of progress Use the LANDesk computer system as the ICT asset management system, and to use the system for the production of management reports, as required Skills and experience: - Recognised IT related academic or professional qualification/certification Experience implementing and supporting IT equipment and services Operational and/or project related computing experience Server technologies such as Active Directory, SQL, Exchange & backup technologies, Windows operating systems Cloud Technologies such as Office 365 and Azure Substantial experience in delivery of back office infrastructure support to users in a distributed environment Management and direction of technically competent staff Significant breadth of technical expertise built up from "hands on" operations and managing diverse applications and systems across a multi-site organisation This is a really exciting opportunity to join a very well established team during a period of change.
