Candidates must have previous experience of working in this role and carrying out the duties in accordance with Section 68 of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 and Section 149 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, Candidates must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, be confident in handling stray dogs in a variety of situations and be physically able to cope with the manual handling and outdoor nature of the job.
To work as part of our Environmental Enforcement Team and have responsibility for Dog Warden duties including the collection of stray dogs, promotion of responsible dog ownership, enforcing dog control legislation and maintaining statutory records.
This role may be suitable for someone looking to be mentored and develop into a managerial role.
Develop and maintain a transparent health and safety plan along with associated objectives which help reduce the risk of personal injury, illness and property damage.
