Residential Conveyancing Head of Department , Swindon Area This is a superb opportunity to join a well run firm, who have a successful Residential Conveyancing team, their most profitable department, which is based over various offices. The role is not a fee earning role, perhaps just a handful of high value technical complex files. Your main tasks will be to manage a handful of Team Leaders to ensure all office locations are hitting their targets. You will be encouraged to visit the different offices in person and get to know all the staff at fee earning and support level. You will be highly motivated and ambitious and want to continue to the excellent work the firm are known for. You'll be working alongside the managing partner and be confident of holding your own in important discussions. The firm have growth plans and this would suit an experienced pair of hands. The work flows coming in are secure and so much comes via word of mouth recommendation. There has been an upsurge in new build housing throughout Wiltshire generally and each fee earner tends to have 60-70 files each, with a team leader (who sits under you) managing the fee earners. You will set objectives and conduct the one to one's with the team leaders. It's a great role and whilst the salary advertised could be the top end of the scale (based on negotiation and what you can bring) , a discretionary bonus of up to £10,000 can be paid depending upon your own performance level. Job Title Operations Officer (maternity cover) Hours and Location Full time, Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 (37h p/w) Home based with a requirement to attend team meetings in Swindon weekly. Salary £27,000 - £29,000 Term Initial fixed term contract to March 2025. Reports to Head of Operations Job Purpose The Operations Officer is responsible for tender management, supplier engagement, member liaison and associated tasks. Role The Operations Team provides procurement solutions to our members by conducting tenders on their behalf. As one of a number of Operations Officers on the team, you will run tenders for our members (public sector organisations, largely local authorities and housing associations), matching them up with pre-approved suppliers. Attention to detail is critical as is the ability to work at pace on multiple projects at one time. You will be the dedicated point of contact for your allocated members and expected to provide excellent customer service. No two tenders are the same and you will be dealing with multiple stakeholders across a range of projects. Being able to learn quickly and communicate effectively are key attributes for this role. Previous procurement or public sector experience is not required.
