In this role, you will provide a wide range of activities, through a mixture of 1:1 sessions and groupwork suitable to meet the interests and needs of Service Users on Hayworth Ward in the Ladywell Unit on which inpatient assessment, treatment and care is provide to the elderly with acute mental illness / cognitive impairments such as dementia.

Ideally you'll have experience playing on PC and/or PlayStation, particularly with RPG (Role Playing Games), or at least be happy to play those sorts of games on a daily basis.

Within this role, you will provide clinical leadership to the Acute (A2) pathway wards (Norbury, Thames and Spring) as the lead on the planning, coordination and delivery of Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions within the Acute wards.
The team provides a service to the person in the place most suited to their current need (their place of residence, day centre, place of work, clinic).
We also offer groups which are held in a clinic setting.

We are looking for a paediatric Occupational Therapist 2-3 days per week in the Bexley area to work at 2 different alternative provisions for children (one primary and one secondary) who have social, emotional & mental health problems.
There is a member of the team on each site (a Speech and Language Therpaist) so you would have direct support and the client can organise clinical supervision for you as well.
The contract would be to start from asap through until the end of July.
