DUTIES: Preparing documents and portfolios in connection with the setting up of sites Dealing with a wide range of development matters Supervising, supporting and actively managing a team of conveyancers on a day to day basis. Advising and assisting on issues which arise during sales and part exchange transactions and where appropriate Dealing with reversion sales, deeds of variation and other miscellaneous conveyancing matters Assisting the Company Solicitor and Group Solicitor in relation to regulatory matters, training, drafting precedents and other matters Playing an active role in the development of the organisations case management system Conducting yearly appraisals and auditing files at regular intervals Training conveyancers and Assistant Conveyancers Dealing with disciplinary matters SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Solicitor qualification or Company Legal Executive (requires Fellow of Cilex or CLC qualification) Experienced commercial or residential conveyancer able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of conveyancing, practice and procedure as well as experience in site set ups, development work and infrastructure work Previous experience of handling plot sales Personable, motivated and organised individual with experience of working in a busy legal arena Ability to deal with confidential matters You may have experience in addition to this which we will be happy to discuss. Office Manager My client a leading law firm in the Top Legal 500 who have a diverse client base, from local to national and international clients are now recruiting for an experienced Office Manager. As an experienced Office Manager you will have gained experience in either a law firm or professional services environment. This role will be based in the companies reception area ensuring a professional experience for all visitors. The Role Responsible for managing the front of house team both in offices Coordinate the facility activities with regards to building maintenance , access and work environment safety Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, and suppliers Manage the firms facility issues reporting system Monitoring and ordering supplies for the office Oversee the firm's facility issues reporting system Assist the Chief Operating Officer with managing facility budgets Support the Operations team as and when required including assisting with compliance, Accounts & HR Assist the marketing team with office events Maintain reception areas and meeting rooms Responsible for ensuring the reception areas and meeting rooms are maintained to a high standard Arrange for regular maintenance of equipment and internal systems (e.g. heating systems , alarms ,security cameras) Attend the office out of hours on an ad hoc basis when services cannot be completed during office hours Answer / field telephone calls and respond to any email based enquiries Responsible for overseeing any team moves and office relocations The Candidate Proven Office Management experience or a similar role desirable within a Law firm or professional services environment Understanding of safety regulations in offices Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage various tasks with varying priorities Whilst this role is based in Colchester there will be a requirement to maintain a regular presence at the Clacton office (Ideally once per week) A pro- active ,professional and friendly attitude Be comfortable in dealing with staff at all levels Hours Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm 22 days annual leave , plus bank holidays and additional 3 days for Christmas closure Pension Health Cas Plan Scheme upon successful completion of a six month probation period Friendly working environment Apply Now.
