Learning Mentor Birmingham, B28 £85 - £100 per day September 2024 start We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our partner primary school situated in the Hall Green area. This highly rewarding role presents an opportunity to make a real contribution to the lives of children looking to make the best start in life. For the right candidate, the school would love for you to join them on a long-term to permanent basis. Main Duties include: Assist in creating and adapting teaching resources and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students in the class. Supporting the class teacher with delivery of lessons. Support underperforming children on a 1:1 basis, as well as small group sessions, outside the classroom and within lessons. Confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. To be able to use a range of strategies and interventions to re-engage pupils into learning and address negative behaviour. The ideal candidate will: Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant degree. Have at least one years' experience working within a school. Have experience leading 1:1 or group interventions (desirable). Have a good understanding of supporting SEN students. Be passionate about making a difference to children's lives by enabling them to learn, thrive and achieve.
