We are currently recruiting for a positive and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join on one of our specialist schools in Walsall, working with pupils to manage their behaviour and achieve their best potential. Responsibilities: Work with the Class Teacher to ensure a safe positive learning environment for pupils with all needs. Support 1 to 1 or in small groups with students with SEND and SEMH needs to support them in developing positive behaviour strategies. Implement behaviour management plans tailored to the individual needs of each pupil. Be the approachable and understanding support for pupil, providing support and guidance to help them regulate their emotions and behaviour. Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for students with SEND. Act as a positive role model for students, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding at all times. Requirements: Have previous experience working with SEND or SEMH pupils, particularly supporting behaviour management. Have an understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies. Be adaptable and flexibility to work to the needs of the diverse needs of the pupils. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
