Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Lead Engineer Food Manufacturing Predominantly Mon Fri (Days) though flexibility required. Circa £50K Are you an experienced Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a proven track record of leading a small engineering function? We are actively recruiting for an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join this very successful multi-site food manufacturing business and lead the small Engineering function at their location near Wigan. Reporting to the Site Manager the Lead Engineer will play a key role in the ongoing development and maintenance of the site. You'll be responsible for coordinating all routine shift based preventive and reactive asset maintenance to ensure safe operation and equipment reliability to meet production demands. You will ensure work is completed safely according to company and legislative standards, to the required quality and workmanship in the time allotted. The Role: Responsible for conducting both preventative and reactive asset maintenance as well as some project work. Focusing on the safety and reliability of the equipment to ensure they meet production demands. Restore equipment during unplanned breakdowns. Provide technical feedback on the assets to production and engineering stakeholders. Work closely with the management team to develop risk assessments, adhere to safe systems of work processes and deliver objective and performance targets. This is a predominantly Mon Fri (Days) role circa 0800-1700hrs - though, as any role of this nature, flexibility will be required. About You: Fully qualified Electrically Biased Maintenance Technician, accredited to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or BTEC. A proven track record in a similar leadership role, gained in a fast-paced food processing environment. Experience of PPM Implementation, delivery and control within a maintenance setting. Effective fault diagnostic and excellent problem-solving skills. A focus on Health and Safety in the workplace. Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills. Capable of communicating across all departments. Capable of operating within a team and on their own initiative.
