A specialist in virtual reality and simulation that has been awarded business with some of the biggest Aerospace, Defence and Renewable Energy companies in the world is looking for a Lead Developer to guide the team through exciting, awarded and secure business contracts. As Lead Developer, your responsibilities will include: Overseeing the development process and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions. Designing technical solutions, implementing feature development and optimising the simulation software and how this integrates with the data capture platform. Daily cooperation with engineers, designers and artists to lead the development process and produce state of the art simulations for customers. Managing delivery process, using source control tools to distribute builds to the team e.g. using source control tools such as GitHub/Perforce, setting up a continuous integration environment etc. Providing technical direction and leadership to the development team. We're looking for a Lead Developer with the following skills and experience: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in a leadership role. Extensive professional experience of C# and C coding with extensive knowledge of principles and practices. Experience in Unreal Engine 4/5 or Unity Experience working with complex technical requirements e.g. networking, implementation/optimisation of simulation functions, input systems, complex control systems, integrating plugins, integrating hardware and data. Ability to translate complex ideas into easy to understand and clearly defined tasks using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
