School Caretaker Newstaff Employment Services education division are looking for several experienced School Caretakers / School Site Agents to join our SUPPLY COVER TEAM! We are building a team of quality Supply cover Caretakers to work in short term, long term or temp to perm assignments in schools and education centrea across Milton Keynes and Buckinham. Overall Responsibilities: Maintain clean, safe, and secure school premises, including buildings and grounds. Carrying out the day-to-day security, routine maintenance, refurbishment, minor repairs and cleaning of school buildings, fixtures and fittings, grounds, plant, and machinery. Promote health and safety around school, ensuring that all health and safety requirements are complied with. Assist in planning and preparation for out of hours school events e.g. setting up, dismantling furniture and equipment etc. Carry out duties such as moving furniture and equipment around the school. Supervise external contractors. Ensuring they always provide a high quality of work and abide by school policies and Health and safety requirements. Some cleaning duties such as overseeing deep cleans in all areas around the school. Maintain and manage stocks of cleaning tools, equipment, and products. Ensuring the school is compliant with all Health and Safety requirements. Assist with weekly fire alarm checks, PAT testing, safety of play equipment and safety equipment. Control entry access to school in line with schools safe- guarding procedures. Carry out other reasonable requests at the discretion of the Head teacher to meet the changing demands of the school. Essential requirements: Previous training and understanding of Manual handling, PAT testing, working at height, COSSH, Health and Safety at work legistlation. Have reasonable level of fitness, as you must be able to carry out manual handling and lifting. Have DIY, building and maintenance skills. Competent user of IT packages and Word. Good oral and written communication. Enhanced DBS and safeguarding training will be required we can help you apply for these. Evening Customer Service Advisors Temporary to Permanent Working Hours - your "fixed" shift will be 14:00 - 23:00, working 5 days per week including every other weekend. Must be Office Based for 3-month training period. You will be able to apply for hybrid working once you go permanent.
