We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team, focusing on providing support to vulnerable children and young people during crisis situations.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of trauma and its effects on behavior, along with a commitment to creating safe and nurturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support, including activities, appointments, and family contact, in line with individual care plans.
Duties and Responsibilities: Undertake direct work with children/young people and their families/carers as appropriate and agreed by the team manager.
To work alongside Childrens Disability Service social workers and undertake specified work that does not need to be undertaken by a qualified worker, enabling work to be progressed more efficiently and ensuring best outcomes for children and young people.
Under the direction of the social worker, liaise with NCC colleagues, partner agencies and other professionals in order to commission services, share information and keep all parties updated regarding circumstances and plans for children/young people.
Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview
