We are seeking a proactive and confident Accounts Assistant, this role involves managing the ledgers and collaborating with the payroll team. You will be reporting to the Group Management Accountant, this position may have flexibility to work from home a day or two per week. Ideally, you will have AAT qualification or recent experience in a similar role and are familiar with Sage 50. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate recording of supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payment processing. Oversee the sales ledger, including issuing customer invoices, credit control, and resolving billing queries. Manage the general ledger, posting journals, and reconciling accounts as required. Collaborate with the payroll team Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/customers to resolve queries and discrepancies. Requirements: AAT qualification or equivalent experience is desirable. Confident with strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Sage 50. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
