Electrical Engineer Working with a global market leader in temperature-controlled logistics based in the Bury st Edmunds, Suffolk area. Who are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. Our client is a UK-based, multi-temperature warehousing and logistics business providing services to importers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and distributors. Our client requires someone to operate and maintain advanced Cold Store infrastructure to the highest levels of efficiency and Health & Safety. More about the Electrical Engineering Role- Salary of £37,000 per Annum Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm There is a call out allowance of £175 per month, one week in three on call (7 Days), time is also paid for call outs. (Will start when appropriate training given, usually after 2-3 months) 20 days holiday plus bank holidays Overtime paid at 1.5 and 2 where appropriate. As an Electrical Engineer your roles & responsibilities would be: Resolve mechanical and/or electrical problems in a timely manner. Provide the engineering manager with information on all engineering downtime attended on shift, related quality issues, work orders complete. Identify and analyse problems before crises and determine appropriate action and follow - up. Follow all work instructions, procedure, job descriptions at all times. Demonstrate a team approach with regard to maintenance and hygiene of equipment and support logistics. Carry out work assessments issued and maximize effectiveness of the shift at all times by ensuring efficient completion of tasks. Complete and check all necessary paperwork. Ensure all parts removed from stores while on shift are booked out of stores in the correct way. Where necessary, must initiate the purchase of parts or equipment completing the relevant order requisition forms with relevant information. What skills and Expertise do you require as an Electrical Engineer? Previous manufacturing / processing / warehouse / cold store industry experience. Mechanical bias, electrical qualifications/time served apprenticeship. 4 years' experience. A good standard of both written and oral English Basic Health & Safety Data and analytical skills Computer literate. (word/excel/windows-based packages) Desirable skills :- PLC, hydraulics, temperature control ,instrumentation, welding, FLT/MEWP license.
