Job Title: Fire Door Engineer. Location: Crawley. Salary: Up to £40K. Main duties and responsibilities for a Fire Door Installer... As an Fire Door Installer/Engineer, you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the electrical industry. The main duties of a Fire Door Installer/Engineer include: Responsibility for completing the refurbishment, maintenance and building tasks, always delivering a high level of workmanship. Carry out other refurbishment and construction work as required. Working in a team and independently when required Liaise with management team daily. Perform inspections and assessments of existing fire-rated doors to identify any repairs or replacements needed. Install fire-rated doors in accordance with fire regulations, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. Install and maintain fire-rated door hardware, including locks, hinges, closers, and panic devices. Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire ratings, smoke sealing, and door clearances. Maintain accurate records of door installations, repairs, and inspections. Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained. Travel to multiple sites as required. Experience & Skills UK Driving License (required) All aspects of fire door installation and maintenance Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, carpentry techniques, and possess strong attention to detail. Health & Safety awareness, and safe working Fire Door installation trained / qualified - Desirable.
We are seeking a Fire Extinguisher Engineer for our client in West Sussex. They are an independent company dealing with the installation and maintenance of Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Smoke Detection and Fire Extinguishers, in both commercial and residential properties across the South of England. As a Fire Extinguisher Engineer, you will install, service and provide quotation information for Fire Extinguisher Contracts. You should also be able to complete work on other Fire Safety Systems either independently or as part of a team. As Fire Extinguisher Engineer, with experience of Fire Safety System installation and repair, you should have experience of maintenance and testing and basic computer skills. Ideally you will be IFEDA or equivalent and / or a member of FIA In return you will receive a generous remuneration package and all the tools you need to do the job including a van, fuel card, uniform computer etc. You will have access to training after an initial period.
