Infrastructure Engineer (Projects) Salary: up to £55,000 Benefits Location: 3 days onsite in Canary Wharf but potentially more if required by the business Working Hours: 40 hour working week Contract: Permanent A client who has seen an increase in their client base is looking to expand their infrastructure project delivery team by hiring an Infrastructure Engineer (Projects). The Infrastructure Engineer (Projects) will be responsible for providing guidance to an Infrastructure Project Engineer and ensuring successful delivery of the projects. Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) X2 Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days on-site) Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension) Start Date: ASAP Day Rate:£300 - £400 - DOE (OUTSIDE of IR35) Overview: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join my clients team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud services. Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems. Implement security measures to protect data and systems. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues. Provide technical support and guidance to staff. Monitor system performance and recommend improvements. Document infrastructure configurations and changes. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of network architectures and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.). Experience with server and network hardware, software, and administration. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Knowledge of security best practices and tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
