Our client currently has over 7 successful locations and are currently looking to hire a Chef de Partie and Junior Sous Chef to join their pub based in Walton on Trent. Tell me more about the Chef de Partie and Junior Sous Chef Role... The site receives two deliveries daily from the prep kitchen with bulk made fresh food. Food Safety is a number 1 priority. You must ensure compliance is always followed. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques. Be confident working in a large team producing fresh food in a high-volume environment. Consistently prepare and cook menu items according to company spec, whilst being mindful of ticket times and ensuring high quality standards are met. You will need to be comfortable and happy working both independently but also as part of the wider kitchen team. You will need to take ownership of your area, tracking orders and ticket times, but also work closely with the main kitchen team to ensure efficiency and smooth running to provide our guests with the best possible experience.? You may be asked to support across different sections in the kitchen dependent on business needs, its essential you have a good understanding of our full menu and are confident to jump in and help in any area should it be required.? Clean and maintain the kitchen by practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational habits - Assist with completing daily kitchen tasks and adhering to all company health safety procedures. The site receives two deliveries daily from the prep kitchen with bulk made fresh food. What duties will I be doing in the Sous Chef role? Food safety is a number 1 priority across Chilled Pubs. You must support the Head Chef by ensuring compliance is not only followed by yourself but by your wider team to ensure we retain our 5-star food hygiene rating. Assist the Head Chef in managing the training of kitchen operations and food preparation. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques, ensuring the company specs are consistently followed. You will need to be comfortable and happy working both independently but also as part of the wider kitchen team. You will need to take ownership of your area, tracking orders and ticket times, but also work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficiency and smooth running to provide our guests with the best possible experience.? The kitchen team will be required to work on different sections depending on business needs, its essential you have a good understanding of our full menu so you can confidently and efficiently support your team when required. Assist with stock control, stock takes, food orders and daily deliveries. Adhering to health and safety procedures in line with our company policies Be confident in your abilities to communicate with the rest of the team, supporting with any development needs and mentoring. Supporting the Head Chef to achieve key targets, including labour and food production times whilst remaining focussed on quality. Somebody with good leadership and communication skills, working effectively with the Sous Chef and being a key team player within the kitchen. An energetic person, driven to consistently provide a 'WOW' service for all our guests. Due to the high-volume environment, we require somebody who has at least 2 years of experience in busy fresh food kitchens, who has the ability to multitask and prioritize jobs effectively.
