Assist users in resolving general IT issues, optimising their daily workflow with expertise in printing, office applications, and email management. Efficiently manage external support cases to ensure optimal service delivery to our internal users. Take charge of user management tasks in Active Directory, ensuring smooth onboarding, management, and removal processes. Deploy and maintain antivirus solutions across our network, safeguarding our systems against potential threats. Oversee daily backups and disaster recovery processes, ensuring the integrity and security of our data. Contribute to the enhancement of our company intranet, providing valuable insights and support in its maintenance and upgrades. Occasionally assist in network infrastructure tasks such as cable installation, faceplate replacement, and comms rack patching. Provide support for our phone systems, including SIP, ISDN, and VOIP technologies. Grow your expertise over time with exposure to various technologies. Experience and Skills Requirements: A-level or Degree educated, with a keen interest in IT. Prior experience in an IT role is advantageous. Strong understanding of PC components and their functions. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Basic knowledge of fault severity assessment, prioritization, and information logging. Familiarity with Exchange server configuration, patching, and maintenance. Proficiency in providing 1st and 2nd line IT support. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident individual with excellent communication skills. Possession of a full driving license. IT Support Assistant Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £23,000 - £26,000 per annum Our client is the largest privately-owned mortgage network in the UK. Their goal is to continue to be the best home for mortgage advisers, protection specialists, equity release experts and general insurance professionals, whatever their size or location. Due to continued growth, they are looking to establish a new team providing first line IT support to the business. This is an office-based role working 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The Role: Getting the right outcome for customers is at the heart of what they do. The main aim of the role is to support the business providing first line IT support for internal and third-party systems. Working mainly on the phone, or over Teams, you could be dealing with queries about anything IT related, so they are looking for someone with outstanding customer service and communication skills. Therefore, experience of working under pressure, prioritising, and working to deadlines is essential. IT qualification preferred but not essential. Other Key Tasks include: Logging and resolving ongoing Incidents, Service Requests and Problems that affect business operations. Ordering replacement or new equipment. Installing, removing, or upgrading new or existing software. Experience: Experience with Office 365 and Sharepoint. Knowledge of systems of control and able to follow clearly defined procedures. Experience of working under pressure, prioritising workloads, and working to tight deadlines.
