Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Operations & Integration Manager The purpose of the Operations & Integration Manager post is to manage and co-ordinate the interfaces between Design and Safety, to ensure that work packages are delivered to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost, providing an overall capability within the Facility. Key responsibilities: Lead, manage and co-ordinate interfaces between Design and Safety, managing designer performance and making appropriate technical management decisions Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget. Co-ordinate the operational aspects of the system designs into an overall facility operational concept to demonstrate functional capability Co-ordinate and design spatial layout and process management of facility by integration of the system designs into an overall facility layout Ensure that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied Ensure that staff and contractors are familiar with the hazards and risks associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective management and communication of the Risk Assessment. Experience and Qualifications. A degree in an appropriate engineering discipline. Submarine maintenance production engineering experience in a dockyard environment. Knowledge of process optimisation and human interface management. The post holder must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle
