We are pleased to inform you of a new role that we are working on for one of our clients: Position: HR Business Partner Salary: £44,000 - £50,000 depending on experience Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days in office) What's the background? We're on the hunt for HR Business Partner to join a small HR team but with big ambitions. The role encompasses a 60 / 40 split between project work and transactional activities so is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get more strategically involved whilst keeping their hand in operational activities. The ideal profile is someone with some sort of L&D background or involvement as one of the big projects is to look at the careers framework and succession planning. Further projects to develop the Diversity and Inclusion remit as well as Well-being are also on the horizon in the coming months. Due to the structure of the team you'd have responsibility for ER activities but these are relatively low in volume. We're after a real team player who sets the bar high in terms of the work they deliver and wants to work in a HR team where everyone gets stuck in. Responsibilities: As the HR Business Partner you will have the opportunity to get involved in various projects to support the HR strategy but whilst ensuring that the operational tasks are fulfilled too. It is a small team consisting of a Head of HR, Talent Acquisition Partner, and HR Administrator as well as this vacancy. The HR Administrator is developing but any day to day HR enquiries, ER issues, operational matters are dealt with by the HR Business Partner. On that basis this would really suit someone who still likes getting their hands dirty and working with Managers, but who also wants to have responsibility for the delivery of various HR projects too. The employee relations activities are relatively low in volume. Manage and support on HR projects and initiatives to support the delivery of the HR strategy. Coach, guide and advise line management ensuring they are skilled and equipped to handle people management issues, including supporting in areas such as conducting investigations, appraisal process and absence management. Lead on any ER cases where required. Responsible for delivering and developing effective talent management initiatives, including succession planning to develop key talent and drive retention and performance management. Support on embedding a culture of learning and development, ensuring mandatory training is undertaken and developmental training is encouraged looking after the end-to-end process and activities. Support on the reward strategy and any other reward related activities Collaborate with the Head of HR to create and deliver employee engagement & well-being strategy and lead the engagement initiatives/actions across the business using insight gained from the employee engagement surveys. Experience needed: Solid understanding employment law and experience in managing complex ER issues Previous experience as a HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor Experience in L&D initiatives such as Talent Mapping, Succession Planning, and Careers Frameworks A keen interest in ED&I would be useful A self-starter who is able to think independently whilst working as part of a team
