Working as part of our People Services Team with a broad generalist workload, you'll deliver HR activities across the employee life-cycle, such as: Managing the on-boarding of new employees, ensuring they are fully referenced, preparing employment contracts and conducting right to work checks. Processing joiners, leavers, pay amendments, maternity/paternity requests, and occupational health referrals. Providing advice to employees and managers on employment practice and policy. Supporting our People Partners with more complex activities such as employee relations, absence and performance management. Digitally enabled HR is at the very forefront of our approach. You'll help to troubleshoot queries and refine processes, as well as working with HR colleagues to support projects and initiatives. The learning curve will be steep, but you'll be supported every step of the way. And although your starting point will be to provide seamless transactional support, as you gain experience and develop your skills, you'll be trusted to take on much more. After a period of initial training, you'll be supported to complete a professional HR qualification. Essential Criteria With previous administration experience, you'll be keen to take the first step in your HR career. Digitally fluent and with exceptional attention to detail, you'll be able to work with different systems, use MS Office and communicate through online technologies. A natural communicator, you're at your best working in a team and you'll be confident working with a range of people at different levels. Organised and pro-active, with lots of initiative and an ability to work at pace, you'll juggle a varied workload, effectively balancing priorities and deadlines whilst understanding the importance of delivering service excellence. And with great written skills, you'll be comfortable drafting emails, correspondence, employment documents and basic reports with care.
