We have an opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor who has either an HR/ER background or potentially more biassed to HR Systems/and HR Officer role. This is a maternity contract starting in June 2024 and likely to be for 12 months based at a fantastic site in Winchester. We are seeking a committed, flexible HR professional to play a key role supporting the full range of HR generalist activities. The HR advisor contributes to all HR activities, including employee relations, HR projects and absence management, as well as general HR administration. The role holder will also support the HR administrator with recruitment activities. The successful candidate will keep up to date with HR matters, and have a good understanding of employment law. You will also be able to form strong working relationships with colleagues across the school community. Key requirements of the role: Supporting projects as reasonably requested by the HR manager. This may include work on the implementation of a management information system, supporting contractual change, consultations with staff, reviewing polices and documentation. Employer Relations - Including - disciplinary, capability, grievance, absence, flexible working), escalating more complex cases to the HR manager. Recruitment - Supporting the HR Administrator during busy periods with all aspects of recruitment, vetting and onboarding as needed Being a key point of contact for HR related queries, answering them if possible, and redirecting within the HR team or to other departments as appropriate. Maintaining data systems and spreadsheets as required. Candidates Were seeking an experienced HR Generalist / HR Advisor who has a background of working within professional and busy environments, ideally with a background of regulated / safeguarding. CIPD Level 5 / or CIPD Level 7 Experienced in employer relations cases from low level - absence, disciplinary, performance, sickness Experienced in Recruitment and HR Systems Strong administration skills and ideally experience of HR Systems implementation (but not essential) The Offer Maternity Contract of unto 12 months Based on site in Winchester with easy access to the M3 Some flexibility for some home working is possible but will need to be on a case by-case basis and open to discuss Full time or potentially for 4 days per week .
