Our client, a well-known and exciting business based in Teddington, is seeking a part time HR Advisor to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be working 25 hours per week across 5 days and a minimum of 4 days will be office based. To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in a similar role. HR Advisor - About The Role Support and assist line management to promote and facilitate the achievement of company and HR objectives. Attend and minute meetings as required. Provide comprehensive HR advice to managers and employees on matters of company or HR policy and procedure, e.g. maternity/paternity leave, terms and conditions for part-time staff. Identify and communicate all and any areas of concern relating to HR issues within the organisation. Under the guidance of the HR Director, provide guidance and practical assistance to managers in carrying out activities, including appraisals, disciplinaries, grievances, return to work meetings. Ensure all HR related correspondence is written to a good standard and completed in a timely manner in accordance with current legislation and in line with HR procedures. Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with HR requirements and procedures, and in line with current legislation and company policy. Assist Managers in monitoring employee attendance, absence and performance data and advise on any company procedures to address any matters of concern. Oversee recruitment, on-boarding, induction, and training activity, in line with company and HR policies and procedures. Conduct benchmarking and other statistical analysis, and support the production of regular, timely HR reports. Work with Compliance to ensure activity is completed on a timely basis to ensure compliance with all regulations. Assist with the development of company policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all areas of employment legislation and to ensure best practice in all areas of HR. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices. Undertake HR related projects and or assignments as required. The successful HR Advisor will have/be: Proven track record in a HR generalist role. Up-to-date working knowledge of Employment Law with the ability to interpret, develop and advise on policy and procedure to ensure compliance with all employment legislation. Efficient and proactive, with an agile working style and able to proactively identify issues and make recommendations. Some knowledge/experience of payroll or working with outsourced payroll functions. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and confident using online tools Attention to detail, delivers work that is accurate and without errors. The ability to generate reports that are clear, concise, and easy to communicate. Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication. Highly organised and able to juggle conflicting priorities with ease. Highly confidential, discreet and customer orientated. Enjoy working collaboratively in a team with the ability to work using own initiative. Confident on the phone with an excellent telephone manner. Calm under pressure. CIPD studier Thorough understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organisation. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism and discretion in dealing with confidential information. Strong commitment to customer service and employee satisfaction.
