We are currently working with Salford Council to find 2 HR Consultants on a temporary basis. Job Type: Temporary initial 2 months. Opportunity to apply for fixed term position. Location: Town Hall (Hybrid, 1-2 days a week) Hourly rate: £19.58 per hour PAYE. We are currently seeking two experienced HR Consultants to join our team on a contract basis. One role will focus on supporting case work across the organisation, requiring a strong understanding of employee relations (ER) work and ACAS guidance. The second role will support directorates, using data to inform practice and interventions. Day to Day of the role: - Provide generalist HR and organisational development advice and support as directed by the HR and OD Business Partner. - Equip managers with tools and knowledge for effective people management aligned with their people plans, including resourcing, talent planning, performance management, and dispute resolution. - Assess team capabilities and develop plans to address shortfalls in collaboration with managers and stakeholders. - Offer expert advice and consultation to ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and assist in identifying required changes. - Support managers through change management processes, including exit strategies. - Develop and maintain positive working relationships with managers, employees, Trade Unions, and external agencies. - Create and implement learning and development programmes to support organisational priorities. - Support and deliver assessment and selection processes for informed candidate choices. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience in HR consultancy, with a focus on case work and directorate support. - Strong knowledge of HR policies. - Experience in absence management and dealing with disciplinary and grievance cases. - Ability to manage transformation programmes and provide creative HR solutions. - Strong analytical skills to inform workforce strategies with key data and information. - Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
