You will be working with a national Social Justice Charity with more than 50 years' experience of changing lives, building stronger communities, and working with stakeholders towards reducing crime.They deliver the Community Accommodation Support service (CAS) which is a national service across England and Wales.
The service allows Courts to make greater use of bail by providing accommodation in the community with support for adult defendants who could not otherwise be bailed.
As a member of a committed team, provide person centred housing options advice and support with a focus on preventing homelessness.
Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Housing Options Officer for our client a local government organisation in Bournemouth.
The successful candidate will assess the organisation's housing duty to those applying for housing; as homeless or threatened with homelessness, in accordance with statute and policy and working procedures.
Responsible for overseeing the allocation and letting of rented accommodation, including general needs social housing, market rent and other rented tenure.
General
The ideal candidate will have social housing experience and have experience in mutual exchanges and conducting viewings.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time role (37.5 hours a week) for initially a 2-month minimum contract which offers hybrid work with 2 days working from home.
