ABOUT THE ROLE As a Hospitality Host at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment for our residents so that we can give them the all-round care and support they deserve. As a Healthcare Assistant Your Primary responsibility will be to Provide the highest quality of care and assistance to residents to help them meet both their health and social care needs. This includes washing, toileting, medication, bed making and preparing meals and drinks. The Key Responsibilities of the job role: Provide one-to-one support and supervision to individuals. Aid all services users in need of assistance Promoting independence to residents with day-to-day decisions (clothing, bathing, choices of food etc) Work collaboratively with other staff members and professionals. Maintain accurate records and documentation of interventions and outcomes Provide emotional support and practical assistance to individuals to help them achieve their goals and aspirations Work closely in a holistic approach to care Establish trusting relationships with clients and their families. Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals requiring support. Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and healthcare system. Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support to individuals in distress. Implement crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies. Coordinate with emergency services when required. Support clients in engaging with community resources and activities-cinema, appointments etc The successful candidate will have: A minimum of 6 months paid UK care experience Enhanced DBS Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work The right to work in the UK Commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
