Your new role In your new role, you will work across a multitude of different sectors completing site inspections and surveys using your extensive industry knowledge. The variety of jobs will know no bounds. One day you could be on site at a hospital, the next, a new office complex using a proprietary software application to build out your inspection report. You will work in a range of different industries, including health, education, office workspace and residential, across both the public and private sectors. As a fire engineer within this company, you will be working closely with the wider team and, depending on your experience, you will be working as either engineer, Engineer (advanced), Senior, Principal, or Associate. This will therefore change your day-to-day activities and involvement with the projects, including CFD models and behavioural analysis. What you'll need to succeed You will need a degree in Construction/Surveying or Engineering with at least 5 years' experience in the construction industry (e.g., building control or quality assurance) with experience in inspection and or verification of passive fire protection. However, there is consideration for graduates2 to apply should they be able to show a keen interest in passive fire protection and want a career in this field of work. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and surveying software. You will need to be able to establish and develop good working relationships with both professionals and clients through good written and verbal communication. You will need to be able to work with minimal supervision and prioritising your workload. You will need to be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel/stay away from home from time to time. Drainage Engineer - Jetting Operative We are looking for full time Jetting Operatives to join our team at Thermatic Drainage. This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance work. This is a fully mobile role and requires a full UK driving licence. The ideal candidate will have previous drainage experience and will be familiar with unblocking drains, high-pressure water jetting, trenchless pipework repairs (no dig repairs) and carrying out looksee CCTV drain inspections. Ideally you will hold the relevant competencies, but where training gaps are evident or where refresher courses are needed, we will offer full support and training will be provided. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic's PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and task schedules as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team Providing accurate timesheet information to designated timeframes Carrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as required Supporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframe Supporting Thermatic with maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representative and customers of our clients Assisting office-based staff by providing accurate and good quality information for any further works quotations.
