What you will be doing You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with complex Mental Health conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life. Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you've made someone's life better. The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends. 37.5 hours per week. Where you will be working Location: 2 Burley Court, Steeton, Keighley, West Yorkshire, BD20 6TU Join the multidisciplinary team at Three Valleys Hospital, care for people with complex mental health issues in a safe and supportive environment. There are a range of services across five wards including a specialist dementia service - where you'll gain experience working with gender-specific distinct rehabilitation and step-down services. All 43 bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the communal areas are spacious with a warm, homely feel. Oldfield Ward for male mental health rehabilitation and Ingrow Ward for female mental health rehabilitation. In addition, Oakworth ward our specialist neuro-psychiatric service for males with a degenerative diagnosis, primarily dementia, which has been designed to care for patients who occasionally have a challenging presentation requiring a compassionate, dementia friendly approach. We provide a specialist environment to give outstanding care across all 3 services and our staff teams develop transferable skills.
