As a Maintenance Professional, you will support our adult support service on site to maintain buildings and equipment to the high standards set by the company and external regulators. This role will require you to be adaptable and flexible. Options Malvern View is a specialist residential/transition and long-term support service offering personal development programmes and providing clear structure and continuity to all aspects of support and life skills. Who we are looking for The role will involve the maintenance of the buildings, grounds and equipment to the highest standards set by Options Autism and by external regulators. The successful applicant would: Have previous maintenance experience Support in responding to day to day needs and planned maintenance, refurbishment tasks and repairs for the home Perform general maintenance and repairs including decorating Ensure that buildings and equipment have a neat and tidy appearance at all times and are clear of any possible hazards Have an awareness and empathy for those entrusted within our care, carrying out duties being mindful of their needs and personal space Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, and you will be working in residential settings where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where individuals are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible. Delivering medical gas cylinders, equipment, stores, furniture, pharmaceutical and pathology items. Taking blood samples, specimens and medication around the hospital in a timely and pleasant manner. To take linen, case notes and the removal and disposal of waste. Transporting the deceased to the mortuary. Receive, record and prioritise job requests in line with agreed procedures. Support medical staff during emergency situations. Passionate about patient care, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and healthcare staff. Able to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business. Confident working in a hospital environment and aware at times you will come in contact with patients that are particularly unwell or showing signs of distress. It doesn't matter if you've never worked as a Porter before. What does matter to us the most, is taking pride in what you do with a willingness to learn and go the extra mile for our patients.
