Take responsibility for and cooperate with the Principal Responsible Person and Responsible Person/s in relation to whole building safety by coordinating and assuring all building-related activities to ensure compliance with the requirements for the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and associated statutory and internal building safety management system requirements across the Council's housing stock.
This position will coordinate access to quality information related to the development and maintenance of the Building Safety Case and Safety Case Reports and Building Assurance Certificates pertaining to high-rise buildings and facilitate appropriate opportunities to support stakeholder training needs.

This is a key role in terms of delivering services in compliance with health and safety requirements and is wide ranging and complex-covering planned maintenance, inspection and installation of equipment and services.
The postholder needs to be experienced in mechanical and electrical works, delivering both service schedules and reactive works across a broad spectrum to include lifts, door entry systems, alarm call systems, fire safety equipment, water testing, gas energy systems and appliances, communal heating & hot water systems and alternative green renewable energy solutions such as ground and air source heat pumps, solar panels.
The role will primarily be responsible for the proper and efficient maintenance of the installations, plant and equipment across the housing stock.
The General Manager will be managerially accountable to the Director of Children's Services and will lead all aspects of the day-to-day operational management of the Children and Young People mental Health Community Services with a responsibility for ensuring good clinical outcomes across the range of services.
