You'll paly a leading role in proactive H&S provision, liaising with various heads of departments to help drive forward a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the department.
This is a predominantly operational role, and will see you actioning measures to ensure our client remains fully compliant with UK Health & Safety legislation.
Take responsibility for and cooperate with the Principal Responsible Person and Responsible Person/s in relation to whole building safety by coordinating and assuring all building-related activities to ensure compliance with the requirements for the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and associated statutory and internal building safety management system requirements across the Council's housing stock.
This position will coordinate access to quality information related to the development and maintenance of the Building Safety Case and Safety Case Reports and Building Assurance Certificates pertaining to high-rise buildings and facilitate appropriate opportunities to support stakeholder training needs.
The Health and Safety Adviser reports to the Compliance Solutions Manager and has close liaison responsibilities throughout Homes and Neighbourhoods, the council's corporate Health Safety Team and the Fire Safety Group for all aspects of service delivery and service development.
