We are searching for a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor who has prior FMCG production experience to drive technical and cultural safety processes within a global FMCG manufacturer in Harrogate. Key Benefits: £50,000 pa, dependent on experience Harrogate Based Company Pension Plan Private Medical Insurance - After 6 months Death in Service (4x Salary) The Role The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment, in line with legal and EHS requirements, whilst leading and developing a culture of safety across the facility. You will partner with all site teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide guidance, assistance, and challenge on EHS matters as needed. Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and lead HSE audits. Develop a culture of safety engagement and communicate successes across the business. Oversee COSHH manual management and submission of data for compliance. Conduct EHS inspections and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement. Assist in accident investigations and provide recommendations for prevention. Review and align policies, procedures, and documentation with management systems. Maintain records related to EHS, including ISO 14001 standards. Collaborate with the Health & Safety Network to ensure compliance with company policy. Develop and deliver EHS training programs. Key Skills & Experience: Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or related field. Strong demonstrable experience in a plant/production environment; preferably within FMCG. Knowledge of EHS law and best practice. A recognised H&S qualification; NEBOSH dip or equivalent. Experience with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards. Waste Management expertise.
