To be oversee the integrated assessments and Education, Health & Care (EHC) Plans for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, across the age range 0-25.
To lead and represent the LA in complex and sensitive issues relating to mediation and appeals and provide line management to the EHC Officer responsible for low level appeals to the SEN & Disability Tribunal, ensuring that wherever possible and appropriate appeals are resolved, or successfully opposed.
To ensure that the Council fulfils its statutory responsibilities as a Local Authority as they relate to the duties of the post holder.
