Known for their mature and flexible work environment, they are seeking a Head of Research to lead their talented research team. The client offers a hybrid work model, allowing team members to work 2 days per week in the office and 3 days remotely. Position: Head of Research Location: Central London (Hybrid Work Model) Working Hours: Standard hours are 37.5 per week, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday Responsibilities: Lead and manage the research team to identify top-tier candidates for leadership roles in the Public Sector. Develop and implement research strategies in collaboration with other departments. Oversee the delivery of assignments, particularly those involving digital transformation within Education, Government, and NHS/Healthcare sectors. Mentor and train Research Partners and Associates. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Report directly to senior management on research operations and team performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher with excellent academic credentials. Extensive experience in executive search, ideally within the Public Sector. Proven people management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Research and Design professional to join an established Medical Device manufacturer and take ownership of the R&D team. You will be responsible for leading the UK R&D strategy, in liaison with Group R&D, across 2 business units, providing directional leadership in defining clear scope, study design and management of the innovation funnel in line with regulatory requirements. The Role: Set the strategy for the R&D function and project manage product road maps and quality control measures that deliver company objectives. Project management of all innovation funnel activities, including planning, tracking, communication and escalations were needed. Produce, compile and review of detailed technical documents. Helping to support the discovery of white spaces and market insight to instigate and drive scientific and technical investigations developing multidisciplinary approaches to solve wide ranging, difficult and complex problems. Implement product testing protocols to extend product life and reduce reasons for return. Manage the budget, identify future spend and tracking current costs to meet budget parameters. People development: Appropriately support, motivate, train, and coach R & D engineering team to encourage the highest standards of performance. About you: Minimum of 3 years industry experience in the medical device space. Excellent project management skills and the ability to effectively function in a fast-paced, dynamic technical environment. Knowledge of global regulatory and compliance requirements. I am currently recruiting for a head of engineering for a key client of mine based in Manchester. This role will require 1-2 days on site per week (as required) and is paying upto £630 per day for a 3 month initial contract inside IR35. This is a very exciting time within this company to make changes and improvements which will affect millions of customer each year.
